Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao Meet on Wednesday Ahead of Showdown
Money’ v ’Manny’ will be the richest fight in boxing history with the
pair reportedly sharing a $250m (£163m) purse, but they will not take
part in a media tour which normally forms part of preparations for
super-fights like this.
Instead, the pair will attend a press conference, with more than 600 media outlets present, at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Wednesday, a short distance away from the Filipino’s Hollywood training base.
Mayweather and Pacquiao seemed very much at ease with one another when they met at a basketball game in Miami in January before terms over the fight were agreed last month.
But Wednesday’s press conference could become heated, particularly between Pacquiao’s trainer Freddie Roach and Mayweather’s father and trainer Floyd Sr.
