Former Hearts of Oak management member, Farouk Al Wahab gives Hearts of Oak a Birthday message
Farouk Al Wahab, former international relations manager of the club in an interview said "The idea of the team was to entertain and get some income and from that prospective this has been well achieved. The team has also been able to produce alot of Stars for the nation like Mohammed Polo, Steven Appiah(the former captain Of the Black Stars) and the darling boy Ishmael Addo, just to mention a few. Teams and companies in Africa that started in the year the phobians erupted have all folded up or died off but the glorious team is still in existence therefore the managerial team have not performed bad although there are some hitches here and there". In the interview he lamented that something haven't been done well by the current generation pertaining modern technology that is the club still doesn't have training pitches, a stadium and other vital equipments. "I'II urge all those who have been projected by Hearts of Oak, the former players and politicians who have used the platform of the phobians to attain great heights should come to the club and pay their quota to help the club gain a firm grounds and enhance the team development. The current management should not let the dream of Hearts of Oak die on their heads but strive to better things because the club has battled to escape relegation some seasons ago" he said in an interview with Hot FM.
