Acting FA president confirms claims of not been informed of Sports Cul dealings

George Kwasi Afriyie who is currently the acting GFA president of Ghana football said in an interview with Happy FM ," Officially we don't know anything about sports cul but I know some individuals on sports cul. And I consulted them to brief me about it and we as an association is still waiting and watching to have something concrete about it.  Everyone knows it's only the FA who has the licence to run football in this country so it's not fair to do such a deal devoid of the FA officials. Therefore he made it public that the FA are in a waiting and see mode and don't want to attack all of a sudden perhaps this might it might be a new Sports marketing company now emanating and it will not be good of us to kill their dreams now. Let's just wait till February to see how they start working but nevertheless they have to use the right channels give the FA official notice and documents of their deal, it will be good for the clubs and league it this is true though".
    He also confirmed that the rumors that the GFA is in negotiations with Star times and yet to come in agreement concerning the television rights of the Ghanaian Premier League. And things will be made official once the road is cleared.  He also commented about Grant and said "He is in contract with the Black Stars and doesn't know about Grant been shortlisted for US national team coaching job. Lots of people express interest in the Black Stars job to be frank but for now Grant is still the Head Coach of the team ".
