THE SWEARING IN OF GREATER ACCRA WRESTLING ASSOCIATION (G. A. W.A).

The Greater Accra Regional Sports Director, Mr Jeffrey Manzan Owusu has sworn in executives of the Greater Accra Wrestling Association (G. A. W.A.) at a short ceremony in Accra on Thursday. The ceremony was graced by Nii Teiko Abobonua 1 ( Asere Amadu Asafoatse) , Norbert Amefu ( National Vice President of the Association) and Mr Jeffrey Manzan Owusu. The Regional Sports Director urged them not to rest but make sure traditional wrestling becomes a force to reckon with in Ghana. In his acceptance speech the President of the Greater Accra Wrestling Association, Mr George Mankatah said he will always bring back the memories of traditional wrestling also know as 'Abotri' in Ga language to the people in the coastal belt. He also assured  us of his unflinching support to help build this sport and make it more open for fighters to join.
