HEARTS BEAT SKYY FC AT DABOASE

Champion Club Accra Hearts of Oak defied all odds to beat Skyy Fc by two goals to one in their friendly game played yesterday at Daboase in the Western Region of Ghana. The match started with the homesters piling pressure on the Phobians and got the opener in the 10th minute of the first half through Alex Anin and the battle continued with the Phobians missing glorious opportunities to equalize till the center referee blew his whistle to end the half with Skyy Fc still leading by a lone goal. After recess the Hearts lads lifted up their game with the inclusion of Michael Sarpong, who was a delight to watch including players like Ibrahim Sumaila, Camara N’guessan and Anthony Quayson. Hearts pushed for the equalizer and it came through their potent striker Abubakar Traore in the 17th minute of the second half and with this the arose, arose ,arose chants from the crowd was so massive and that also pushed the team for the winner and they got it through Anthony Quayson in the 82nd minute . The goal was greeted with many cheers from the massive crowd at the Daboase Park of the homesters and it made the fans yearning for more which could have come in the way of Hearts of Oak but were all missed. After the referee blast the final whistle to end proceedings, the fans of Hearts sang happily and said that this is really a new era of football in the club and they will support them to the end. Glorious Hearts of Oak are back with a bang so other teams should watch out.
