RUSSIA BEAT SAUDI ARABIA 5-0 IN OPENING MATCH

A perfect start for the host nation, Russia as they beat Saudi Arabia 5-0 in the opening game in Moscow. Denis Cheryshev, despite coming on as a substitute after the 20 minutes scored magnificent two goals. The  deft touches of those two goals were just superb. It's wasn't all that rosy for Russia, as they lost Alan  Dzagoev to a hamstring injury.A dreadful game for Saudi Arabia, the less said about their defence, the better. Hope they lift their game against Uruguay next Wednesday in Rostov and subsequently Egypt.
