Finally, Africa first win in the opener courtesy Senegal

The game was boring but not without controversies. The Senegalese happens to be the first African team out of five to, not only avoid defeat in tge opener, but also collect all the three points at this World Cup at the expense of Poland. An own-goal from Thiago Cionek gave Senegal the edge and was doubled by M’Baye Niang due to bad defending from Krychowiak’s who later pulled one goal back with few minutes to end the game but that wasn't enough. It's ended 2-1 in favour of Senegal.
