Not bad and not good enough
The Black Stars of Ghana won their first group stage match against the Cranes of Uganda after the captain of the side, Asamoah Gyan won a professional penalty which was well converted by Andre Dede Ayew.
On the day tactically Avarm Grant was eluded by the Ugandan coach but unfortunately experience had a great say in yesterday's win. The Stars had a good defensive line spearheaded by Daniel Nii Amartey and supported by an excellent display from Partey in midfield. The attacking side of the Black Stars didn't really come to the party yesterday. Apart from Atsu who was the light at the end of the tunnel for the team the rest of the attackers where not in the limelight.
Going forward in the tournament the fans will be expecting more from the renounced attackers of the Black Stars. The Black Stars will be playing their second group stage match against Mali on Saturday.
