Immigration ladies Stand Tall in Ama Pele football tournament at St Thomas Aquinas park

The tournament was played by  six teams ; Immigration ladies, Police ladies,  Ridge City FC , Ideal ladies, Rock ladies and Sea lions . 

Ridge City FC played against Police ladies , Immigration ladies also playing against Ideal ladies , and Sea lions playing against Rock ladies in the open match,  but Immigration ladies and Sea lions from Cape coast were the only teams that could qualify to the finals .

Immigration ladies won by two goals to one against Sea lions at the end of the game wining trophies and undisclosed cash prizes by both teams . 

Elizabeth Addo in her speech after the tournament,  laid emphasis on the aim of this initiative in a sentimental way , making known her past experiences in the field and the need to promote women's football . With the massive turn out of the  debut of this initiative  , she stated plans are being made for it to be an annual event to promote women's football. 

She mentioned financing the tournament by herself , and with the subsequent ones to come , her doors are opened to any corporate body who would like to help in sponsoring the event
