TEAM GHANA LEAVES FOR THE 17TH WORLD SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIP IN BUDAPEST.

The Swim Team of Ghana has finally left for the 17th World Swimming Championship currently underway in Budapest, Hungary. The swimmers who made the trip are Laila and Paa Kwesi Jackson without their coach Mr Abbiw Jackson because the notice for them to travel came very late but all the same Ghana is representing on the World Stage there. They will be met on arrival by the Ghana Swimming Association President Theophilus Wilson Edzie who is already in Budapest after he enplaned from Bahamas to Hungary for the FINA congress that was held in Hungary. Speaking to the swimmers at the airport yesterday, they made me aware that Its emergency but they will dig deep to help bring some laurels back home. At the airport to see them off were; Mr. Benjamin Quansah- Vice President of Ghana Swimming Association, Mr Seth Nti - General Secretary, Mr Kodwo Abbiw Jackson - National Coach and Farida Abubakar Gindo - Treasurer of the Ghana Swimming Association. The words from the Association to the swimmers was that they are going to drop off some of their times and make it happen in any competition that they will find theirselves in. In all we pray for their success at the 17th World Swimming Championship in Budapest.
