Bina foundation early this year, organized African female
blind footballers to take part in a similar training camp and seminar in
Japan as part dress rehearsal game ahead of the Paralympics games in
Tokyo 2020.
According to president of the Ghana Blind Sports
Association Eric Kissi, the event has come at the right time, our
athletes will will take advantage of the seminar to help develop our
game in Ghana. He seized the opportunity to appeal to Government to
invest in disability sports. "As vice President of the Ghana Paralympic
Committee, most disability sports associations lack funding to organise
events locally hence affecting the general development of disability
sports in Ghana."
Bina foundation was established by Lady Ifeoma C. Atuegwu
in line with her passion and personal desire and philosophy to assist
the poorest of the poor especially physically and mentally challenged
persons, the blind and visually impaired, orphans and motherless babies,
the widows and the elderly. The organisation started off with
mobilization of like-minded individuals to address issues facing people
with special needs.
