McDAN WEST AFRICA TENNIS OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP.
The Ghana Tennis Federation President Justice Ernest Obimpe, in collaboration with the McDan shipping company has officially hosted the championship inside the quarters of the Accra Sports Stadium. This is unlike the previous two editions which provided participants within the country, this open is its first edition, conjuring our Western neighboring countries namely Togo, Nigeria, Benin , Ivory Coast, and the host Ghana, to bruise through hook or crook for the ultimate price.
The previous two editions unearthed great players like Jeff Bagerbaseh, George Darko, and Francisca Nyarko also lifting the ladies crown.
Its a very fierce competition, the Ivorians are really at heart to clinch the penultimate price. Likewise the Ghanaian characters are also in fury and hunger to pride the nation. Here are some of the results.
Moses vs Akokonam (6-1, 6-2) respectively.
Felix Hammond vs Nii Okai
(6-3, 6-3) respectively.
Jeff Bagerbaseh vs Antoine (Togo)
(6-2, 6-1)respectively.
Sadem (Osu) vs Katanga (Cote D'Ivoire)
(6-3, 2-6) respectively.
Wale (Nigeria) vs George
(3-6, 6-2) respectively.
Contingents like Daniel, Benjamin Fumi, all lost to their Ivorian counterparts, which approximately make the Ivorians carry the day.
