Emmanuel Adebayor blames Daniel Levy for Tottenham Stand-off
Adebayor, who will return to White Hart Lane
with Crystal Palace on Sunday, was made a free agent after coming to an
agreement over terms to terminate his contract in September, two weeks
after the end of the summer transfer window.
The forward, 31, made just a handful of appearances during the second
half of last season and was told by Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino he
did not feature in the club’s first team plans. However, an attempt to
join West Ham United on loan in January 2015 was halted because Levy did
not want the player to join a club that at that point appeared capable
of challenging Spurs for a place in the Europa League.
