Lets play our football void of politics -Asamoah Gyan tells GFA.
The captain of the Black Stars fired warnings at the governing body
of football in the country not to mingle politics in the affairs of
football in the country especially the national teams. He lamented that
doing this will have a retrogative effect on the sporting activities in
the country.
It's been alleged that some members of the GFA have been indulging themselves in politics when it comes to handling issues pertaining to football in the country, the goal poacher believes will have negative repercussions on football if measures aren't put in place to curb this act.
"What I would like to advice people pertaining to what I saw in the just ended Afcon that we shouldn't bring politics into the game we all love and cherish:football. If we should do so its going to have an adverse effect on our national teams. People are sheepishly bringing politics into Sports in Ghana which I think we shouldn't condone with it
Asamoah Gyan scored his 49th goal in the just ended Afcon in a 100th appearance on international duty for Ghana.
